House Dance

Despite the decidedly dodgy weather on our two sports days, the event was once again a great success. Every student in Years 7-10 inclusive had the opportunity to take part in a range of sports including football, rounders, tug of war, table tennis and badminton in order to earn points towards their final total for each of the six houses.

The Furniture Makers’ Company is currently running a National Schools Design competition sponsored by B&Q Homefit. We recently received a prize to award to our most promising D&T student.

Festival on the Field

Our annual Festival on the Field event was held on Tuesday 19th July and was a scorching success! Students from Years 9 to 12 put together a range of exciting activities and stalls to raise money for our school charity, Build Africa. Students were able to participate in archery, buy products made by our very own business students, purchase homemade samosas, buy much needed drinks and listen to music supplied by our sound and light team.

It is always with great pleasure that I write a summary at the end of the summer term outlining our charity fundraising for our chosen school charity throughout the year. It is also worth noting from the very start, that on top of the fundraising efforts I am going to outline, many year groups, tutor group and individuals also raise a lot of extra money for a variety of other charities throughout the year.
