Students, staff and parents are celebrating the school’s best ever set of GCSE results.
A massive 80% of students gained five A* to C grades, with 60% of students achieving five A* to C grades including English and Mathematics.
This outstanding set of results demonstrates very clearly the significant progress that the school has made over the last five years. Our results are now almost double what they were in 2006, and considerably higher than last year, when the school won a national award for examination performance and value added achievement at GCSE.
Notable achievers were Lucie Toole: 9 A*s and 2 A grades; Richard Stroud: 8 A*s and 3 A grades; Connor Thomson: 5 A*s and 4 A grades; Natasha Brind : 3 A*s, 6 As and 1 B; Milly Porter: 3 A*s, 7 As and 1 B; Edward Mack: 4 A*s, 5 As and 2 Bs and Michael Hutchings with 2 A*s, 6 As and 1 B.
Headteacher Peter Brown comments:
‘We are really proud of the high achievement of Stanborough students, the majority of whom will now continue their studies in our very successful Sixth Form.’
