PSHE is delivered through a variety of activities to years 7 – 11. The normal timetable is suspended for a morning or afternoon and outside agencies are invited to come in and interact with students via theatre, DVD, workshop etc to allow students to explore topics such as bullying, drugs, alcohol abuse, sexual relationships etc. Whenever possible expertise is brought into school so that students have the most up-to-date information given to them and the sessions are always sensitively presented so that students feel comfortable and are suitably challenged about the more difficult aspects of teenage life.
The approach is slightly different in years 12-13, invited outside speakers come in to talk to the sixth form on subjects such as safe driving, sexual health issues etc.
