Your homework should be designed to help you do one or more of the following:
- To practice key skills already learnt in school
- To help you to extend your knowledge and understanding of a subject/topic

- To complete important pieces of work such as coursework or key assessments

Try to do your homework as promptly as you can. The longer you leave it the more likely you will forget what you have to do
Try to do your homework somewhere where you will not be disturbed
If you do not understand what you have to do, see the class teacher as soon as you can
Don’t be afraid to ask your parents for help or advice. Be proud of what you produce for your homework and show them what you do
When you get your homework back, read the teacher comments carefully so that you can get an even better grade the next time
